Located on an island lagoon that is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, the design and layout of this Hotel/ Resort facility was created with the idea of portraying the “hotel as a community”. We have maintained and enhanced the natural features that are inherent to the existing lagoon by taking the impersonal large hotel building and breaking it down into 38 two-suite hotel buildings. These “hut like” units - derived from traditional vernacular sources - have been scattered around the lagoon and linked by meandering forest paths, bridges and catwalks instead of the normal hotel corridors. The sandy beach melting into warm ocean waters tops off this unique and romantic resort.
